VANTIS LIFE ACHIEVES FOURTH CONSECUTIVE YEAR OF DOUBLE DIGIT NEW PREMIUM GROWTH


Bank-focused life insurer has grown 83% in four years

WINDSOR, Conn., February 28, 2013 – Vantis Life Insurance Company today announced that new recurring premium life insurance grew 18% in 2012. This marks the fourth consecutive year of double digit growth for the Company. Vantis Life offers life insurance products through banks, credit unions and select brokers nationwide.

“Our business model has proven to be unique and difficult to replicate,” said Peter Tedone, President and CEO at Vantis Life. “Middle income households continue to be underserved and underinsured. We help financial institutions meet the specific and unique protection needs of this demographic. Growth has come from banks with assets from $2 billion to $122 billion, including community banks and large regional banks. “We continue to add more partner banks throughout our national footprint,” said Craig Simms, Vantis Life’s Senior Vice president of Marketing. “We have seen new life insurance premium volume increase significantly from larger banks and mid-sized banks, some of which are the preeminent sellers of life insurance among all banks nationally.”

Income from independent brokers has also grown significantly in the past few years and now comprises one quarter of all new premium.
