WINDSOR, CT., July 1, 2014 - A cute puppy, a colorful parrot, and a Chihuahua with a big attitude have been called into service as a creative way of advertising an insurance company's life insurance products to financial institutions. In fact, they can even win awards.
Vantis Life Insurance Co. has won top awards for its print advertising featuring animals, the company announced today.
The Academy of Interactive and Visual Arts recently awarded Vantis Life the Gold Award of Excellence for a print advertising campaign in Business Trade Publications. The awards were bestowed at the 20th Annual Communicator Awards in New York.
Vantis Life, along with its advertising agency, Avid Marketing Group, won the Academy's highest accolades for print advertising in two separate categories: for its 'Chihuahua' magazine advertisement as a standalone submission, and for its series of animal-themed ads.
"We knew we had a powerful campaign as soon as we saw the first sample ad featuring a unique series of animals," said Craig Simms, Senior Vice President of Vantis Life. A series of animal-centric print advertisements was featured in banking magazines, promoting the Windsor, CT-based company's unique strategy of selling its range of life insurance products through financial institutions nationwide.
In one ad, a Chihuahua, sporting a spiked collar says, 'Any size bank can run with the big dogs.' In another ad, a tag line states, 'offering life insurance is more than a cute idea,' featuring an adorable Jack Russell puppy. And, according to a squawking parrot, 'Your life insurance partner should do more than just tell you what you already know.'
